1. As a service provider, StC is responsible for its own content that it makes available for use in accordance with general regulations. Liability for material or immaterial damage caused by the use of the content is excluded, unless there is intent or gross negligence.

2. Insofar as information is provided to StC by a user, StC is only liable within the limits of Articles 4 to 6 of the Digital Services Act (DSA). If such information is textual in nature, the respective author will be named. In such cases, only the author of the respective text or their client is responsible for the content.

3. Pursuant to Articles 7 and 8 of the DSA, StC is not obliged to monitor third-party information transmitted by it, temporarily stored for the purpose of transmission, or stored for a user, or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity.

Privacy Policy

The operator of this website takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

Objective and responsible body

This privacy policy explains the nature, scope, and purpose of the processing (including collection, processing, and use, including consent) of personal and other data within our online offering and the associated websites, functions, and content (hereinafter collectively referred to as “online offering” or “website”). The privacy policy applies regardless of the domains, systems, platforms, and devices (e.g., desktop or mobile) used to run the online offering.

What is personal data?

The term “personal data” is defined in the Federal Data Protection Act. According to this, it refers to individual details about the personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your real name, your address, your telephone number, or your date of birth. As a rule, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g., name, address, or email addresses) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible.

No data transfer to third parties

Your data will not be transferred to third parties unless we are legally obliged or entitled to do so, or you have expressly consented to this. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to completely protect data from access by third parties.

Cookies

Some of our web pages use cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Server-Log-Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us.

This includes:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of illegal use.

    Contact

We collect personal data when you provide it to us voluntarily, for example when you contact us. We will, of course, use the personal data provided to us in this way exclusively for the purpose for which you provided it to us when contacting us. This information helps us to specify your request and improve the processing of your concern. This information is provided expressly on a voluntary basis and with your consent. Insofar as this information relates to communication channels (e.g., email address, telephone number), you also consent to us contacting you via this communication channel in order to respond to your request. You can, of course, revoke your declarations of consent at any time for the future. Please contact us for this purpose.

    Security

We have taken extensive technical and organizational precautions to protect your data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons. Our security procedures are regularly reviewed and adapted to technological progress. We use authentication and authorization procedures to ensure, as far as possible, that unauthorized persons do not have access to your personal data or use services that are reserved for you.

    SSL encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

    Right to information, deletion, blocking

You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to correct, block, or delete this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice if you have any further questions on the subject of personal data.

    Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to change the privacy policy in order to adapt it to changed legal situations or in the event of changes to the online offering or data processing. However, this only applies to statements regarding data processing. If user consent is required or if parts of the privacy policy contain provisions governing the contractual relationship with users, changes will only be made with the consent of the users. Users are therefore asked to regularly review the content, especially if they provide personal information again.

    Objection to advertising emails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam emails.
